106,000 and going nowhere :(

SO I have had a couple months with no progress done on my great work.... Is it great? I wouldn't know, no one bothers to read it :( But I hope so, as it is getting a look-see from a respected agent. I was told I needed an edit, not a big thing, most books do. I do not feel daunted by this task, though at the time I did feel vastly disappointed in myself for having a professional point out errors that I had already seen - and not bothered to fix as yet. But ah well, IT ISN'T EVEN FINISHED!!!!!!!

I do still plan on continuing this three book saga of the Syl Dhan Wars, focusing on spirituality and technology as a guide to self awareness. It's not preachy! it has lots to do with war! and nobody wants to be in a war, but nobody minds reading or watching war, if it is written well, as people generally do enjoy vicarious heroism, fear and the thought of fighting for a cause.

One of my quotes, taken directly from MY story, from one of MY characters (I do love my characters). "The saddest thing about war isn't the death and carnage that it creates, but that we so often call it necessary." King Elmer Raenos of Tydor. - This may or may not be an adaptation of a quote from somewhere else, I certainly hope not. The more I repeat it the more I think I must have heard it somewhere. Little old me couldn't have possibly come up with that insight!

As the the reason for my lack of progress. PEOPLE! love them I do, but when you see people EVERY DAY for MONTHS, it becomes hard to focus on the things you need to do to advance your career. It's difficult being popular sometimes. That, and my place is like a halfway house for the homeless. But what can you do? You can't leave people out on the street, its just not humane. Like I said, I do love my friends, but I am looking forward to at least 3 days of peace, and hopefully some progress on this story. METANOIA!

So peace out people. Keep it green!
